Slither.io Observations will give you a collection of useful information to play Slitherio game. General information

Slither.io Observations

  • The map of Slither.io online game is a huge disc. Don’t touch or hit the boundaries! If not, your snake will be killed and there is not any pellet can be left after that.
  • When you run into another snake and die, the food or the pellet, you leave just represents about 20-23% of the mass you had.
  • Slitherio game has no lobby. But it has different rooms. To change room, you should refresh your browser window.
  • The game often happens at the center of the map. You rarely see the others at the edge except the room is full.
  • The “butterflies” or the big pellets will move around and keep away from snakes. They have a mass of 50-60.
  • The normal pellets will spawn around players and other pellets. They grow bigger over time. They start from 1 and will increase up to 20.
  • Your boost-remains will begin at the mass of 1.
  • The remains of a slain snake will contain larger pellets with a mass of 10-40.
  • When you see some who is coiled by another, you can surround them if you are big enough.
  • When you boost, you will lose some mass. But the boost remains only represent around 30%. It means that when you boost in a circle, you eventually lose all mass you have.
  • If you leave Slither.io without dying, your snake will continue living. But the bot will control it from that time. • If it gets late, the bot will be spawned to keep the snake-density up because the disc’s radius never changes and players at night will not fill the Slitherio map. Slitherio bots In Slitherio game, you can see many types of bots. They have all features in common such as:
  • They can move around the map in zigzag lines.
  • When close to an enemy body, they will try to evade it.
  • When close to an enemy head, they will move forward and try to cut them off even though they never boost when doing this.
  • If surrounded by an enemy snake, they will move in a circle. If a head approaches near them, they can move out of the circle slightly.
  • When almost encircled, they never try to go out if there is a gap. And this gap must be at least 45 degrees. It is wide enough for them to evade.
  • If a big snake dies near them, they will not try to boost and grab the pellets. They randomly collect the fifth pellet if the pellet density is low and pellets that place near them if the density is high.
  • They will not encircle you.
  • They differ in direction: ? The ones that control snakes are leaving Slitherio game always head for the boundaries, even heading straight into it and remove player’s mass. ? The ones that imitate a normal snake, who has been spawned once drops a certain amount. And they will not head for any specific direction although they can move around further. However, if they play alone, they can end by going around in a circle. They never boost, too.

The crazy ones that boost can last around 20-40 seconds. They usually end up chasing the own tail. But if there is an enemy head nearby, they will go for the head. It’s pretty dangerous in this case. When they stop, it often takes 2 minutes till the next boosting-frenzy. So, they will work as the second kind of the bots between bursts.
